The Sales Keep Coming........

Woohoo, just had to sales for a key chain and knitted dish cloths. I have all 32 NFL teams to choose from. I love to make the knitted or crocheted dish cloths, they are a lot of fine to make. Sales this weekend have been up from last week, that is a good thing. Time to get back to the knitting needles or maybe the crochet hook.....

TweetAdder........Great Software

I started to use Tweet Adder on one of my twitter accounts and just loved it. I can list my tweets and have them sent out over a specific time period which really works for me. When I started to use it on my Ebay account I started to see more sales when I would tweet what was in my store. I decided to use it on my other Twitter accounts. I have one for each website that I sell on, it was just easier for me to keep things straight. My sales really started to go up on all the sites. I was really surprised. Can you imagine if we had to sit and do it with out Tweet Adder, we would be sitting her all day at the computer. I just did a count of my followers and right I have 9833 over my twitter accounts, this summer I had about 3000.

I have it set right now that if you follow me I will follow you back. If you unfollow me I will unfollow you. Wow if we had to do this account by account it would take a long time to do things. When some one follow me I send them a Thank You message and send the Tweet Adder link along with that. You can also send out DM to your followers. I have it on my old lap top and let it run 24/7, unless the power goes out!!

You can set a time frame for you tweets to go out, 1 every 30 – 45 minutes, what ever works for you. There is also a feature that I like to use when some one retweets me I can retweet their tweets. There is a lot of nice things to do with this software. I was skeptical about using something like this but in the end the past 6 months my sales have gone up.

The support for this software is really great, when ever I had a question about how to do something they were right there to help me.

That is what I thought, too good to be true. You do not have to advertise Tweet Adder after you join, that was my decision to share this software with everyone after I used it for a couple of months. The sales and followers kept coming. I thought I would let everyone know what they say they will do with the software, they actually do!! The software is really easy to use and figure out. How many, how often you want the tweets to go out is in your hands, you decide when you want things to get done.

If you have any additional questions about this software, please get in touch with me and I will be glad to answer any questions that you might have.

I found these cute lace bookmarks on my favorite embroidery design website. I just had to make them. I could have also made them into bracelets too, but I decided to add a little ribbon to each end and I like how they look. I did one in plain pink thread and the other in a variegated pink thread. I kind of really like the variegated one. I did a search online and found out that there are a lot of different colors that represent different things. I am proud to say that this slightly mature person did learn a few things today. While also on the website I found a nice design to do on a couple of towels and they did turn out really nice too. Here are there pictures:

I just donated a few things to my hair dressers friends benefit, it did make me feel good about doing some thing like that. She wanted a few Eagles things that I make. I really like doing the variegated thread it just adds a little some thing to it. Have a great weekend!!

Well it sure has been a week here!! I never thought that selling pieces of NFL Team fabric would be going as good as it is. I got all 32 teams, wow that is a lot a fabric and the hottest seller is the New Orleans Saints. That fabric is hard to keep in stock. I have also been embroidering Halloween earrings, they are just the cutest. I also have some made for Christmas too. I really like to make these cute little things!!

Smiles on Faces.........

This is a nice story about how I put 3 smiles on faces that normally don't smile these days..... It all started before I went on vacation. I saw really nice cell phone covers and thought when I get back I want to get myself one. When I got back I got one and really like it. I asked Natalie if she had any sea shell fabric. She looked high and low out in California for some. I found some at J and O Fabrics here in New Jersey, and sent the fabric to her. I was soo pleased when I got them, they look soo nice.

Gwen is a dear friend that lives in the Carney Point Care Facility, along with her new best friend, Hallie. I also got one for my sister, Darlene. Hallie just loved hers and so did Gwen.

T
he best one of the bunch was Darlene, my sister. She called on Friday and was giggling, I knew that she had hers too. She really appreciated me doing what I did, then I could finally tell her the whole story about how things came about. One of the first questions was do you have any more of the fabric left, I might want something else made out of it!! It was a good choice of fabric....dark background, won’t show much dirt!! She also said you are out of unemployment checks, don’t have a job, but do something nice for people. I said, EBay has been good to me so I decided to do something nice and put smiles on faces that don’t normally have smiles on them a lot of the time. The website where I got the cases from is: www.seasidesew.com check out her things.

Turtles and Ladybugs......

Gee I wonder if the "new" color for babies this year is green blankets with pink and brown embroidered on them. I have done a few blankets over the past month with those color schemes!!
Been really busy listing things on Ebay. I decided to close my store and just list things starting at .99 for free, and only if they sell pay the final value fees. For me the final value fees are 9% for the auction style listing and and whooping 12% for the Buy It Now listings. I have done pretty good with things like the Phillies yard of cotton fabric that went for $39.99 and $26.00 for the Atlanta Braves. I just check and they have the Coca-Cola fabric which is 5/8 yard and a piece that is 21x24 up to $13.19....they must really want that fabric to bid it that high. I think I paid about $6.99 for a yard a few years back. Most of my things go for .99 but at least my trash is some one else treasures and it is out of my studio which still have way too much stuff in it!
Have a great weekend!!!

Moon & Stars Blanket

This was a blanket that I did for a dear friend. She wanted the phrase about the moon and stars. I was a little hesitant about doing it not know how the letters would look when done. It came out beautifully, I am very pleased with the way that it came out and she is very pleased with the blanket. Comments like that make it all worth while!!

The Addiction to Lace - Here's Hearts To You!

I really am addicted to doing the lace things on the embroidery machine. It is just so fascinating to watch it get done. I hoop the Waster Soluble Stabilizer in the hoop, then it is off to the embroidery machine and stitch out the hearts. This is the best part of it all, I take the hearts out of the hoop then put them in a bucket of warm water for about 15 minutes. When I come back to check on them, the Water Soluble Stabilizer has magically disappeared and all that is left are the hearts!!! I do dry flat over night. In the morning they are all curled up for drying and then I press them flat. I can also make Christmas ornaments, Bookmarks, Earrings too!! These are just so fun to make.

Embroidered Towels - Chrismas

I have been very busy this week working on Christmas towels. I didn't have one after the last craft show. I also had an order for the Home Sweet Home, and the Doggie towel. I think I will be seeing towels in my sleep!! I only have 2 more shows and that is it for this season. I think after the holidays I will be putting what I have left on my selling sites and see if I can sell them. I have way too much stuff and need to make room for more things, different things that I would like to try. If you like what you see, just get in touch with me and I will be glad to help you to buy them.

Special Needs - Steelers Walker Bag

I had a client contact me about making a walker bag using the Steelers fabric, I said sure why not. The walker bag can also be used on the rails of a hospital bed to keep your things handy. It also can be used on the arm of your motorized wheel chair. I have made one to use on the handles of a baby stroller to keep that body handy when the little needs it.

For the first time in a long time I also made myself something. I had this really cute red snowman material so I decided to make a holiday bag. I also want to put my monogram on a cosmetic bag, it did turn out nicely. I have 2 more craft shows and then I am done for the season. I still have a lot of "stuff" in the basement. After the holidays I think I am going to put things on sale, a really good one like 50% off just to make room for some new things I would like to try next year.
