Wow is has been a while since I have posted anything. Lately my days are filled with taking care of my sister who fell and broke her ankle. I don't have much time to do any sewing or embroidering, but have managed to get a few things done and here is what I have been working on lately. I do not have any Christmas towels at all, not one is left. I have a couple of craft shows in December and thought I better get my butt in gear and get some done, so here are a couple that I did today. I am doing low count, minimal thread changes that way I can get more done.
Time to get back to the machine........

The Red Walker Bag - Before and After...

This is the before and after pictures for the walker bag. I made the plain bag and then my client took it a step further and embellished it with Beads and Dangles. This turned out soo nice and looks great. Gee, it is amazing as to what 2 creative mind can do when put together. This really gives me an idea of how to use up some things that I have had laying around like for ever. I really like the pictures as he also took it in her back yard. Mine was taken in Clarksboro, New Jersey and her was taken in Kingman, Arizona. Wow there is a big difference there!

Plain and Simple...Elegant

I am soo glad that my niece, Casey Jo sent me an invitation to join Facebook!!! I have connected with some of my friends from school, my daughter and granddaughter, thanks Casey Jo!! I am really glad to have reconnected after all these years. This blanket is for one of them. I recently got a different kind of thread and was eager to try it out on something. I really like the results, it does really look nice, this picture does not do it justice. Business has started to pick up a little bit which it good for me!! I really like what I am doing and hope to be doing it for a long time!! Time to head off and do listing on a new site that I just found. ArtFire has no listing fees, no final value fees all for $12 a month, not bad!!! Now if I could just get going on there I will be not selling on Ebay aka Feebay as we in the business call it!! Have a great day!!

The Red Walker Bag

I had a very nice client request a red walker bag. I am really pleased that it turned out nicely. The walker bag looks kind of plain right now, but with her magic it will turn into a beaded treasure. She will beading a name on it along with some other beading and dangles. This is one where I can't wait to see the finished product. It is just amazing how you can take something so plain and turn it into a beautiful beaded treasure. Let me see now that gives me some ideas of what to do with all the sequins that I have saved over the years from doing those sequined calendars. Think that is what I am going to do next. I could use a new handbag with some sequins on it!!

A Week To Remember!!

I am sure glad that this week is over!! It all started on Monday when I got a phone call that my sister was in the hospital with a broken ankle, no, totally smashed ankle from a fall. They had to put a plate and screws in it. She has MS and that was her good ankle, she was in a tizzy till things got worked out. She is in the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. She likes it there and the people are nice to her. All she really wants is to come home and I can't blame her!! Needless to say my sewing and embroidery was put on hold for a couple of days.
I am glad to report that it is back on track and I have been embroidering an order for a client. I had the design digitized (translated into embroidery language) and have now embroidered it on a few t-shirts and a hooded sweat shirt for him. It did come out very nicely, but now to figure out how much to charge for it. Trying to figure out just how much to charge is a challenge.

Puff The Magic Dragon........is visiting in Clarksboro, NJ

The blanket is for one of my favorite repeat clients.....I love all my repeat clients!!!! I love a challenge to finding designs for them. Sometimes it will take 2 designs to make one good one!!! I JUST LOVE CHALLENGES. With this one it was really simply, the colors were a little to girlish so we decided to change the colors and now "he" looks just fine. Recently I have added a comment box on my Blog so that my outside of the website that I sell can leave me feedback. Oh those website gets me the exposure, but they FEE me to death. Well off to the next project!!!!

She Can't Make Up Here Mind......

I love to do things for my sister, it is always a challenge. I THRIVE ON CHALLENGES. She wanted a t-shirt with hearts on it....well I had a few for her to choose from. Once she did decided it was onto the color of the hearts. In the pictures I did stitch outs using a variety of different colors. She finally decided on the variegated red thread which show it off nicely. She told me that getting her laptop was the best $$$ spent. Now I can take and send pictures that she can see what I am doing and approve them. Also with Skype she can see them too. Well I am off to another project!!!!

Nana's Reason To Shop

I have been working with a really nice lady, Carol from Garland, Texas!!! She contacted me through Ebay and I have done several things for her. She has the sweetest granddaughter, Samantha is truly a gift from God.... Every time that I send her an order I always put a little something extra in for Samantha. This time she ordered a few creepers and asked to put a few special designs on and left the last one for me to decide, well I did and here is the one that I choose for her and how true is this Carol!!! I can hear you all the way from Texas on this one, hope that you enjoy it!!!
Time to look for a cute baby dragon for another order that come in this morning, also have the craft show to get ready for too. Hope you all have a great day......

New Background & Banner

Oh me, Oh my was I up late last night, 3 AM to be exact. I found this awesome place to get backgrounds and banners for your blogs: http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/ This is really a nice site to find just what you want. They have very easy instructions about how to apply them to this blog. The only little thing I had go wrong was that the banner was not centered on the one. Answer: you may need to change the template that you are using so that it looks right. I also have done one for my personal blog too. I did have to change the size of the Facebook box, but after looking long and hard I found the right place to change the width of it. I am pleased with the way that it has turned out. It looks like a professional done it.

I need to make up a couple of samples for my sister to see, she wants a few things made. Thank goodness she finally has a computer and she can really see what I am working on and tell me if she likes it or not in real time!! I am off to find seashell and hearts for on a key fob........
